Tsavo West National Park is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. Spanning over 9,000 square kilometers, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, including lions, elephants, and rhinos. Tsavo West is also famous for its red-colored landscapes, which are caused by the high concentration of iron in the soil. Visitors to Tsavo West can explore the park on a game drive, during which they can see some of the region's most iconic wildlife up close. Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Nairobi for Tsavo West National Park

You will be picked up at the airport or your Nairobi hotel and briefed about your safari. You will then depart for Salt Lick Lodge in Tsavo West National Park, where you will have lunch after checking in. 

You will have an afternoon siesta, then proceed for an evening game drive to see the various wildlife species in their natural environment. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. 

Day 2: Full-day game drive at Tsavo West National Park

You will wake up and have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive, during which you will see a variety of wildlife species, including elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and giraffes, among others.

After your morning game drive, you will have your packed picnic lunch in the park in the afternoon, then continue with the game drive to Mzima Springs, where you'll see hippos, crocodiles, and monkeys in the trees. After your evening game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge, where you will be served dinner and spend the night at salt Lick Lodge.

Day 3: Depart Tsavo West National Park for Nairobi

You will have breakfast before checking out and then drive through the park as you enjoy the scenery and wildlife sightings on your return journey to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location, bringing your safari to a close with memorable experiences.
