3 Great Days Experience Of Amboseli National Park

The Big Five and observation hill allow an overall view of Amboseli Park, especially the swamps and elephants. The swamps below the observation hill host many elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and waterbirds, such as the Pelican and Egyptian Goose. There are plenty of reasons Amboseli is such a popular park. We’ve already mentioned the photographic presence of Kilimanjaro, but did you know that this park may be the best place in Africa, if not the world, for viewing free-ranging elephants? The light terrain of the park, combined with the great numbers of elephants here, guarantees you will see them as they parade in their imposing herds.

Depart at 0630 hours and drive through Athi River into modern Maasai land. Observe the natural plains of the land. Cruise through the undulating landscape of the wilderness to the Namanga border point. Drive through the rough road into the Heart of Amboseli. Amboseli welcomes you with spectacular views of the Majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, the shiny Lake Amboseli, and plentiful wildlife. Arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch. Freshen up for an evening game drive which you might spot the big 5. Return to base for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Rise and shine for a morning game drive as you witness the bare cloudless summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Rolling plains will ease you’re spotting of the many elephants heard and other wildlife. Head back to the base for breakfast and refreshments for the day. Break for leisure and show up for lunch. An optional village visit to the Maa community for an experience and interaction with the Maasai culture. Proceed for an evening game drive and back to the property for dinner and overnight.

 Day 3

We bid the Amboseli Jumbos territory farewell as we have our last glance at Kilimanjaro, exit via Iremito gate, and go through the wilderness into the town of Emali in Kambaland. Enjoy the hills nearby overlooking the plains as we escalate up into our republic’s capital. Enjoy the drive uphill towards Nairobi for drop-off.
