In Othaya, Nyeri, next to Munyange Two Village is the Njigari Forest. The Njigari forest is a component of the southern Aberdares Block, which also comprises the Kihuri, Gatangu, and Gura forests. Together, these forests form the Zuti forest, also called a Thuti forest by locals.

The Njigari Forest offers a lovely walk with a bamboo section and two significant waterfalls, the River Thuti, which empties into the Athi River, and the Tana River, which empties into the Indian Ocean. Due to their privileged location, The Waterfalls served as a post office for the Mau Mau Mau independence warriors.
