Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Upon arrival at the airport, Windhoek (Hosea Kutako
International Airport), you will be met by our representative or driver guide
for briefing. Later, you will depart from Windhoek and travel via the
“Kupferberg Pass” through the rolling hills of the Khomas Hochland—the
prominent ridge of higher ground in the center of the country. Rivers have
eroded many deep valleys, and altitude ran between 1,700 and 2,000 m above sea
level. After a short stop for photos, go down via the breathtaking “Spreetshoogte
Pass” to the plains of the Namib Desert. Drive south and experience the
unsurpassed scenery of the rugged Naukluft Mountains to our left and the dune
landscape to our right. Later in the evening, check in at the lodge for dinner
and overnight. Approximately 370 Kilometers, 4-5 hours’ drive.

Day 2:
Sossusvlei Sand Dunes to Swakopmund
After a delicious early breakfast, set out into the
Sossusvlei desert to explore the beautiful ancient desert. Climb a dune
adjacent to Sossusvlei and afterward proceed to Deadvlei. In the heart of this
vlei stands a collection of skeletal camel thorn trees, a past reminder of days
gone by when water flooded the region; sit on the white pan with the backdrop
of orange dunes and blue sky—an unforgettable and stunning destination. Please
note the last 5kms section is 4x4 only.
Later exit the Sossusvlei Sand Dunes and head straight to
Swakopmund, approximately 370 kilometers, a 4-5 hours’ drive. Stop at Solitaire, one of the smallest towns
in Namibia, famous for its “Apple scrumble or Apple Pie” for a short while,
then proceed to Swakopmund. Upon arrival at Walvis Bay, watch out for the
flamingos enroute to Swakopmund. You will arrive at Swakopmund late in the
afternoon—check in at the lodge, whereby you will spend your overnight. The
Guide will offer various optional evening activities available in Swakopmund.
Alternatively, you can relax by the beach after a long drive, followed by
dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Swakopmund to Windhoek
After breakfast in the morning, before returning to Windhoek. You will have various optional activities in Swakopmund to undertake, which will all culminate around noon. Afterward, set out for Windhoek, approximately 360 kilometers, 4-5 hours’ drive, arriving in Windhoek late in the evening. Alternatively, if not doing any beach activities at Swakopmund, you can have an early checkout at the hotel for a “Bushmen walk” enroute to Windhoek in Usakos. Later in the evening, check-in for dinner and overnight at The Weinberg Hotel, Windhoek.

Day 4:
Transfer to Windhoek; Hosea Kutako International Airport
After breakfast, relax at the hotel while waiting for
your outbound flight. Alternatively, you can explore the Windhoek City tour at
your own cost. Later you will be transferred to Hosea Kutako International
Airport for your outbound flight. Drop off at the airport, which marks the end
of the four days classic Namibia experience
