It awakens your senses as you become part of the wilderness. After a few hours, you hop into the safari vehicle and continue with a game drive. DAY 3: EN ROUTE GAME DRIVE to SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast in Lake Manyara, head towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful, high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. You will be picked up at Moyo tented Camp, where a delectation of dining, rest, and relaxation awaits us, and a sleep upon the ‘Endless Plain’ as our minds rove over the sights and sounds of the day.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you drive to the northern part of the Serengeti for a game drive along the Mara River. Depending on rainfall, the spectacular crossings of the Mara River can begin as early as June or as late as August. The wildebeest and zebras must survive the Nile crocodiles and fast-flowing water before facing the lions waiting on the other side. Game viewing is sensational, impressive, and dramatic this time of the year. All meals and overnight will be at the Heritage camp, where delectation of dining, rest, and relaxation await us and sleep upon the ‘Endless Plain’ as our mind’s eye roves over the sights and sounds of the day.

A journey full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and, if lucky, the endangered black rhino. After the afternoon game drive, you return to Heritage Camp for dinner and overnight.

The Mara River is one of the best places to observe the wildebeest migration. The Mara River runs through Kenya and Tanzania. It lies directly in the migration path of multiple animals in the Masai Mara & Serengeti National Park. It is also a vital part of the river system that brings water to the region. All meals and overnight will be at the Heritage camp, where delectation of dining, rest, and relaxation await us and sleep upon the ‘Endless Plain’ as our mind’s eye roves over the sights and sounds of the day.

The long day ends with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation. Get a good nap, and you will move towards the Ngorongoro Crater the following day. DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER to TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Today, you set off towards the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. It shelters close to 30,000 animals, including the Big Five. This UNESCO World Heritage site was formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano once taller than Kilimanjaro. It is 610 meters deep and covers roughly around 304 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000 large mammals, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In minutes, we will see wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, and some of the more than 500 bird species that inhabit this place. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs, and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater was chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.
