SAFARI ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, we will be met by our representative, then drive to Skill Forest Lodge in Arusha, where our safari expert will meet you and give you a safari briefing before going to bed overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA to TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Meet at Arusha airport with our Safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches for a day of game drive. This park is located 120km southwest of Arusha. In this astonishing park, expect to see substantial herds of Elephants gathering alongside the Tarangire River along with many other species of animals, e.g., Wildebeest, Lions, Buffaloes, Zebras, and prolific birds. In the evening, drive to Omega View Hotel in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK to SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the way, you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge (optional), where anthropologists Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made significant discoveries that contributed to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti, you will continue further into the park game drive en route, arriving in time for dinner and overnight at Moyo Tented Camp.

DAY 4: FULL-DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive in the park, where you expect to see lots of animals. Serengeti`s Name comes from the Maasai Language, meaning endless plain. Therefore, it is home to many animals, including Lions, Elephants, giraffes, Wildebeest, Zebra, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, Hyena plus a lot and lots of bird life. In many cases, migration is taking place around Serengeti, and at that particular time, millions of wildebeest and zebra are mingling together, followed by predators—dinner and Overnight at Moyo Tented Camp.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK to NGORONGORO CRATER

After early breakfast, we set off for an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. After lunch, proceed to the Ngorongoro game drive en route, arriving in time for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge Ngorongoro.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER to ARUSHA to ZANZIBAR

After breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a wonderful crater tour with a picnic lunch inside the Ngorongoro Crater, often described as one of the wonders of the world and a designated UNESCO World Heritage. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhinos can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Then late afternoon, drive back to Arusha for an evening Zanzibar flight. Arrive at Zanzibar airport/ harbor and transfer to Stone Town Tembo Hotel for check-in at 6:15 pm.

DAY 7: STONE TOWN TOUR AROUND THE HISTORICAL CULTURE AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANT TOWN IN ZANZIBAR

It includes a visit to the former slave market site, which now stands as an Anglican church built in 1871, the town market, the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, the House of Wonder built-in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), the old Arab Fort, the Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary (cultural center) to Maruhubi Palace ruins via Living Stone House.

DAY 8: SOUTH COAST DOLPHIN TOUR A TRIP TO DOLPHIN WATCHING TOUR

A day trip to Kizimkazi is wonderful. You may swim with hundreds of spinners & bottles – of nose dolphins playing off Kizimkazi beach & have a chance to experience a special natural message in the Indian Ocean at 2:30 pm, driving to Jozani Forest tour for red Colobus Monkeys, natural forest, and mangrove forest the living spices of fish underneath. Visit Zala Park to learn how local people become creative to protect the natural living reptiles, back to town for dinner and overnight.
