It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here. Ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to the wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. Clients can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli, (250 km: Approx. 4 hrs drive)

0730hrs: Depart Nairobi to Amboseli

Take the Nairobi-Mombasa highway to Amboseli National Park.

A typical African savanna landscape, dotted with local homesteads and vibrant Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle, greets us on our early morning drive.

1200hrs: Arrive at Amboseli National Park for lunch.

Take a midday break for the afternoon game drive and then return to see the animals. We'll be looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches, and more. The majestic peak of Kilimanjaro looms large over the landscape and skyline of the region. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the world's tallest freestanding peak. Weather permitting, we can see Mount Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak in the background while enjoying the natural beauty.

1800hrs: Overnight at your economy, comfort, or luxury Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp (Depending on your choice).

Day 2: Amboseli – Nairobi, 250 km: 4 hrs drive

0600hrs: Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive in search of the predators and grazers.

0800hrs: Breakfast

0900hrs: Extra mid-morning game viewing drive.

1130hrs: A lunch stop should be before your return trip to Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi at approximately 4.30 p.m. in the late afternoon. Drop off at the airport in Nairobi or a nearby hotel or residence in the city. In addition, if you plan to continue to Arusha or Moshi, you can choose to be dropped off at the Kenyan/Tanzanian border town of Namanga. At the time of booking/confirmation, please indicate this preference.
