There are 364 square kilometres of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with its location between the Aberdares and the foothills of Mount Kenya. Its game-to-area ratio is the best in Kenya. The big five and chimpanzees can only be found in Kenya's Ol Pejeta Conservancy with ease. It includes over 10,000 large mammals and is also home to Africa's fastest-growing rhino population. There are two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos in a protected sanctuary and roughly 80 critically endangered southern white rhinos.

At Ol Pejeta, there are other ways to experience safari than travelling by vehicle. There are opportunities for game walks, horse rides, and even camel rides during a safari, in addition to night drives.
