Gatangu waterfall Chase & Bamboo Trek, yet forest bathing is a trail through the bamboo Forest of Gatangu. The hike starts at Mucharage and heads through the rehabilitated forest towards the Murang’a county boundary. Onwards through bamboo vegetation down the waterfall. It is a hike of about 16 km and takes about 7 hrs to tackle, trekking at a moderate pace.

What to wear and items to carry:-

• Comfortable Waterproof hiking boot preferred
• Hiking/gym pants (avoid jeans & Shorts)
• Polyester T-shirts (like football jerseys) carry an extra one to change after the hike
• Head Torch
• Sunglasses
• Hat/cap
• Camera & power bank
• Binoculars
• Drinking water
• Sun screen or (Kenyas Favorite, Arimis)
• Snacks/energy bars to sustain during the trek
• Poncho or a light Rain Jacket
