The great migration is an iconic safari must-see. Every year two million wildebeest, zebra, and other herbivores trek from the southern Serengeti to the lush green grasses of Masai Mara in search of food - known as one of the seven wonders of the world.

The great migration is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness wild animals at their closest point. You will have better luck with this from July to September. The millions of wildlife cross the mara river searching for food and Wildebeests breeding. However, in October, the rainy season commences in Tanzania, and millions of Wildebeests start migrating back to Serengeti.

We can't help but marvel at this incredible event. The Great Migration is a spectacular display of animal collaboration, as hundreds of thousands migrate together to search for food and shelter--and sometimes love! 

It's not just wildebeest who depend on zebra. It also attracts many other species that come along their journey through the landscape.
