Itinerary

DAY 1: Arusha – L. Manyara National Park

Morning picks up at Arusha Hotel after breakfast, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, the stunning view of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and the baboons at the entrance will welcome you. Travel through the town of Mto Wa Mbu, situated next to the Lake Manyara National Park entrance.

The town harbours thousands of souvenir salespeople. The Lake Manyara National Park consists of a massive but shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s attractions include; herds of the African elephant, famous tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

We will have our picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives in search of wildlife and birdlife, along with a visit to the famous hot spring “Maji Moto”. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 2: L. Manyara National Park (Full Day)

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive searching for the wildlife and birdlife in the park. This whole day is dedicated to unlimited game drives in the park exploring all that Lake Manyara National Park has to offer. In the afternoon, you will have lunch at the Lodge and rest before proceeding for the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 3: Ngorongoro Crater (Full Day)

After breakfast, we will head to the crater gate with your picnic lunch ready for a full-day crater tour. Explore the crater, well-known for its great concentration of wildlife and birdlife. Attractions in Ngorongoro crater include alkaline lakes, forests, vegetation, hot springs, different kinds of wildlife, birdlife, and its landscape.

Among the common wildlife in the crater includes; lion, hyena, elephant, leopard, zebra, wild dogs, warthog, the rare black rhino, African buffalo, wildebeest and varieties of migratory and resident birdlife whereby more than 350 different species have been recorded.

In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater floor and head back to the Campsite for a hot shower, dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park with your picnic lunch. Tarangire derived its name from the Tarangire River, which cuts across the park and provides permanent water for the birdlife and wildlife of the park runaround year. It is here where a large group of different animal species concentrate during the dry season and the best place to take many pictures.

The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and African pythons. Tarangire is a paradise for birdwatchers, as more than 350 species have been recorded. Other wildlife includes the rare Oryx, impala, giraffe, zebra, lion, leopard, and other gazelles.

Enjoy our picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives along the Tarangire River. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 5: Tarangire National Park - Arusha

After breakfast, a walking Safari will follow at the park’s boundary. With your packed lunch, you will drive to Arusha, after which you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight.
