Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, is a vast and captivating wildlife sanctuary located in southern Tanzania. Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salam to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

The pick-up time is at 8:30 in the morning. Driving to Nyerere National Park will take about three to four hours. After a bumpy road journey, you will check in at the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon siesta. Later in the evening, set out for a boat safari. After that, make your way back to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night.


Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive at Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

After breakfast in the morning, depart for a full-day game drive at the Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve). You will take a break for a picnic lunch at a safe picnic area at around lunchtime. The game drive will continue after lunch for the better part of the evening. Later, you will check out and be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Nyerere National Park to Mikumi National Park

 After a delicious strong breakfast, you check out and head to Mikumi National Park with an enroute game drive. Upon arrival, check in at the camp or lodge. Followed by a steamy hot lunch and afternoon siesta. Later in the evening, visit a Maasai village for a cultural tour and Masai Warrior dance. Afterward, head back to the camp for dinner, bonfire, and overnight at the camp or lodge.


Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive at Mikumi National Park

After a steamy, delicious breakfast, you will make your way to the Mikumi National Park for a day game drive that will last the better part of the day and into the evening. The day's fun will be enhanced by a picnic lunch which will be served at a scenic picnic site.


Day 5: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam

Early and hearty breakfast will be served. After that, drive to Mikumi National Park for a morning game drive. Later in the mid-morning, exit the park and head back to Dar es Salaam. Drop off at the hotel or airport for your next destination flight.
