Itinerary

Day 1; Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park

After completing the requisite registration procedures at the Lake Manyara National Park Gate, you will access the park. The morning departure from Arusha town to Lake Manyara National Park starts at 7:30 am. Tanzania's Lake Manyara is a small freshwater lake. The alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, which are claimed to be the "loveliest (lake) in Africa," cover around 89 square miles (231 km2) of the lake's 127 square miles (329 km2) of Lake Manyara National Park. Numerous baboons and bird species can be found there, along with herbivores like hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs, and giraffes. The groundwater forest is also home to enormous fig trees and mahogany. You return to Arusha by car in the late afternoon.
