Open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the renowned baobab trees define Tarangire's scenery. The park is well-known for its massive elephant population, one of Africa's most significant. Visitors can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, and various antelope species.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the product of a collapsed volcano that generated a massive crater about two million years ago. The crater is roughly 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) across and 600 meters (1,970 feet) deep. It creates a natural cage for diverse wildlife by providing a unique ecology.

Itinerary

Day 1; Arusha -Tarangire National Park.

Depart Arusha at 07:00 hours for Tarangire National Park (total size of 2850km2/ elevation 900m-1100m above sea level). After a game drive with a picnic lunch at a picnic location, travel up to Mto wa Mbu and check in at Motto Cottages for dinner and stay

Day 2; Mto wa Mbu Ngorongoro crater.

Breakfast at the lodge, then travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 610m from the crater rim to the crater floor for a wildlife drive till 4 pm, then ascend from the crater and drive back to Dar es Salaam, dropping off at the airport or hotel.
