What to expect on the 2 day Tsavo West safari from Diani

Day 1 starts with a 5:30 a.m. pickup at your Diani Beach hotel. After a drive of about 4 hours you reach the sanctuary at around 9:30 a.m. and start your first game drive straight away. You arrive at Salt Lick Safari Lodge at about 1:00 p.m. for check-in and lunch, then go out again on a long afternoon game drive from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dinner and the night are at the lodge.

Day 2 begins with a sunrise game drive from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m., then breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and check-out. An extended game drive runs from 9:00 a.m. to mid-afternoon, with lunch at 2:00 p.m. You leave for the coast at 3:00 p.m. and arrive back in Diani at about 7:00 p.m.
