Mt. Kenya Fitness - Oldonyo-Lesatima Hike

Mount Satima is an awe-inspiring spectacle, standing at the third-highest peak in Kenya. Majestic and powerful with grandeur beyond compare, Maasai have named it Lesatima - 'mountain of the bull calf.' The Satima ranges are part of The Aberdares on one side of Africa's renowned Great Rift Valley, reaching a summit height of 4,001 meters above sea level (13,127ft). It also features many jagged volcanic cones known affectionately by locals as 'The Dragon's Teeth,' stretching from 3,600m (11800 ft) to 3,800 meters (12500 ft). 

Perched high in the sky, Mount Satima is an incredible natural landmark that has long attracted visitors from near and far. Whether you're looking for a strenuous hike, unbeatable views, or just a restful escape from busy city life, Mount Satima is the perfect destination. Its highest peak rises to altitudes exceeding 9,000 feet and offers stunning panoramic scenes of valleys stretched out far beneath its summit.

Though not as well known as some of its neighboring peaks in the region, the majestic jagged ridgeline of "Dragons Teeth" that adorns Mt Satima is a sight all it's own and sure to leave any visitor with lasting memories they will cherish forever.
