Mt. Kenya Fitness - Ragia Forest Waterfall Chase & Mau Mau Caves

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the beautiful Ragia Forest Waterfall Chase and Mau Mau Caves. Located in Lari sub-county of Kiambu county, the Ragia forest waterfall chase & Mau Mau caves circuit starts at Sasumua Dam through the Chinas camp gate. It proceeds deep into thick bamboo and follows elephant trails down the valley to the pipeline leave way.

The trail leads to a sharp descent to a cascading waterfall and the famous Mau Mau cave. In the caves is where Mau Mau Generals Field marshal Dedan Kimathi and China used to hide. The trail further leads to a second waterfall at the bottom of Sasumua River called no 18.

This friendly hike is suitable for trekkers of all levels, from beginner to experienced. Pack your swimming suit as you can take refreshing dips in crystal clear waters at this trek.
