Day 01 :

Start of Gorilla Trekking Safari to Bwindi

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional company representative or driver-guide from Divulge Adventures who will brief you about your safari before transferring you to your hotel Kampala Serena Hotel for relaxation after your flight.

Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city orientation drive around Entebbe, a peaceful town located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake.

Relax and prepare for the unforgettable adventure ahead. Ready to begin your 4 Day Gorilla Trekking Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 02 :

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early in the morning at approximately 6:00 AM, after breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin the scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive takes approximately 10–12 hours through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing rolling hills, traditional homesteads, plantations, and local markets.

Your first stop will be at the famous Uganda Equator Crossing where you will have an opportunity to take photographs, shop for souvenirs, and experience the unique water experiment demonstrating the separation of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Proceed with the journey to Mbarara for a delicious lunch stop at the renowned Agip Motel Restaurant before continuing toward Bwindi Forest.

As you approach the park, enjoy spectacular views of terraced hillsides, dense rainforest vegetation, and local villages.

Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity, hosting over 120 mammal species, 350 bird species, and numerous primates.

Arrive at Gorilla Safari Lodge in the evening for check-in, dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African rainforest.

Day 03 :

Gorilla Trekking Experience & Batwa Cultural Encounter

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers at 8:00 AM.

During the briefing, you will be informed about gorilla trekking rules, safety guidelines, and assigned to a gorilla family group according to your fitness level and preferences.

You will then begin your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure through the dense rainforest of Bwindi. The trek may take anywhere between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family.

The terrain can be steep, muddy, and challenging, but the experience is incredibly rewarding. As you hike through the forest, your ranger guide will share fascinating information about the park’s ecosystem, wildlife, medicinal plants, and birdlife.

Eventually, you will encounter the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom, play, and interact with one another — an unforgettable wildlife experience regarded as one of Africa’s greatest adventures.

After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural experience with the indigenous Batwa community, the original forest dwellers of Bwindi.

Learn about their traditional way of life, hunting techniques, music, dance, storytelling, and herbal medicine practices. This cultural encounter offers meaningful insight into the heritage and traditions of the local people living around the forest.

Return to Gorilla Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 :

End of Gorilla Trekking Safari to Bwindi

After an early breakfast at approximately 5:00 AM, begin your return journey to Entebbe or Kampala with scenic views of Uganda’s countryside along the way.

You will make a lunch stop in Mbarara before continuing the drive back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, your driver-guide will transfer you directly to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight or drop you off at your preferred hotel.

As your safari comes to an end, take with you unforgettable memories of Uganda’s incredible landscapes, rich culture, warm hospitality, and the extraordinary experience of encountering mountain gorillas in the wild.
