Overview
Experience a 10-day Primate and Wildlife Safari expedition which begins with an adrenaline-filled visit. Safari starts from Jinja to see the Source of the Nile and enjoy white-water rafting before heading north to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at Ziwa Sanctuary to track rhinos along the way. After witnessing the powerful Murchison Falls and exploring the savannah for lions and giraffes, the journey continues to Kibale National Park for an immersive chimpanzee trekking experience in the rainforest. The itinerary then shifts to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel and a search for the unique tree-climbing lions of Ishasha. The safari reaches its peak in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with a life-changing mountain gorilla trek, finally concluding with a scenic drive across the Equator back to Entebbe for departure.

Day by Day
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative or your professional safari driver-guide from Divulge adventures who will brief you about your upcoming Primate and Wildlife Safari adventure. You will then be transferred to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital city, for relaxation after your flight. You will have an opportunity to see the views of the bustling city, local markets, and surrounding hills after checking in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Kampala Serena Hotel.
After an early breakfast at around 7:00am, begin your journey eastwards to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital and home to the source of the River Nile. Your first stop will be at Mabira Forest for an exciting zip-lining adventure through the tropical rainforest canopy. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views while gliding above ancient trees and listening to sounds of birds and primates hidden within the forest. After the zip-lining experience, proceed on a guided nature walk to the beautiful Griffin Falls where you will learn about medicinal plants, birdlife, butterflies, and local ecosystems.
Continue to Jinja for lunch at the famous Jinja Sailing Club overlooking the Nile River. In the afternoon at about 2:00pm, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise to the legendary Source of the Nile. During the cruise, visit the eastern and western points of the Nile source and the historic John Speke Monument, where explorer John Hanning Speke identified the source of the Nile.
You will also have an opportunity to shop for locally made African crafts and souvenirs before returning to Kampala in the evening for dinner and overnight stay atKampala Serena Hotel..
Wake up early for breakfast and depart Kampala at approximately 7:00am for a scenic journey for primate and Wildlife Safari to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest national park. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino trekking experience. Accompanied by trained rangers, walk through the sanctuary to observe the endangered white rhinos in their natural habitat. After lunch at the sanctuary restaurant, continue your journey northwards through beautiful countryside and local villages.
Before reaching the lodge, visit the spectacular Top of Murchison Falls where the mighty River Nile forcefully squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging dramatically below. The thunderous roar and misty surroundings create one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

Have an early morning breakfast before heading out for an unforgettable sunrise primate and wildlife safari drive across the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. During the game drive, look out for wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, oribis, topis, and numerous bird species. Morning hours are the best time to spot predators before they retreat from the heat. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the River Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise offers excellent opportunities to see large schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, elephants drinking at the shoreline, and countless bird species including the African fish eagle and kingfishers. As the boat approaches the falls, witness the dramatic power of the Nile as it crashes through the narrow gorge. Dinner and overnight stay at Murchison River Lodge.
After breakfast, enjoy another brief stop at the top of the falls for photography and panoramic views before departing for Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of the world. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes, tea plantations, traditional villages, and rolling hills of western Uganda.
Enjoy lunch en route before continuing to Kibale Forest where you will check into your lodge surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. Dinner and overnight stay at Turaco treetops
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority guides about chimpanzee trekking rules and safety guidelines. Enter the dense rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzees. The trek may last between 2–4 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees. Along the way, encounter other primates such as vervet monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Once located, spend one magical hour observing the chimpanzees as they feed, groom, communicate, and swing through the forest canopy. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later in the afternoon, proceed for a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-based ecotourism project rich in biodiversity. The wetland is home to over 138 bird species and several monkey species. This experience also supports local community conservation initiatives. Dinner and overnight stay at Turaco treetops.
After a relaxed breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah park famous for diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before preparing for an afternoon boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel is renowned for having one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. During the cruise, spot elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, water birds, and numerous animals gathering along the shoreline to drink water. This is one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda and offers excellent photography opportunities.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains and Queen’s Mile areas where chances of spotting wildlife are highest. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, waterbucks, warthogs, and numerous bird species as the park awakens. After the game drive, continue your journey southwards through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions which are often seen resting in fig trees. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers about gorilla trekking rules and conservation efforts. You will then venture deep into the rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take between 2–6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they interact, feed, and care for their young in their natural habitat. This is one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters in the world.After the trek, enjoy a cultural experience with the indigenous Batwa community where you will learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music, dances, and survival skills.

Wake up to a relaxed morning breakfast before checking out and beginning your return journey to Entebbe. Drive through the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda with an en-route lunch stop in Mbarara. You will also make a memorable stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping, and experiments demonstrating the equator line. Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight back home or to your hotel marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari experience.
