Overview
This is a 7 day tour to Etosha National Park that focuses on wildlife and its mainly for animal lovers. You will be staying inside the Etosha National Park, implying game drive after game drive. All three camps have floodlit waterholes hence one has 24-hour access to them. The tour covers the usual route for the park. 114 mammal species and over 350 bird species are distributed over vegetation types ranging from dwarf shrub savanna, Kalahari Woodlands in the east, and grasslands. Game drives are mainly conducted around waterholes.

Day by Day
Your guide will pick up by a representative from Divulge Adventures from either the airport or your accommodation in Windhoek.
You will drive straight to the southern part of Etosha National Park. You will embark on an afternoon game drive. Waterholes in this part of the park are further apart and are mainly artificial because it is relatively dry compared to the other parts.
On the second day in the Southern part of the park, you will do the morning and afternoon game drives.
The game and birds found in this part of the park are typical of the savannah plains of southern Africa but include several species endemic to this western side of the continent, adjacent to the Namib Desert.
The waterhole around the lodge is one of the most active ones at night. You'll watch herds of elephants, various antelopes, and rhinos making turns to drink water hierarchically. The waterhole is accessible 24 hours.
You will have a relaxed morning and explore the southern Etosha once again before heading northeast to the central part. Vegetation will start changing from the open dwarf thorn bush to mopane woodlands.
The central Etosha is hilly in a rather topographically flat area hence the chances of encountering elusive species like leopards.
Birds include Southern Pied and Bare-cheeked Babblers, Sociable Weaver, Crimson-breasted Shrike, Violet-eared Waxbill, Red-headed and Cut-throat Finches, Namaqua, Double-banded and Burchell’s Sandgrouse, Pygmy and Lanner Falcons, Pink-billed, Sabota and Spike-heeled Larks among other specials.
You will have an afternoon game drive around central Etosha. At your lodge, there is a waterhole accessible 24 hours.
An early morning start will allow you to further explore the central part before heading eastwards.
Eastern Etosha has relatively higher rainfall, hence waterholes are much closer to each other. In this part, one will get artesian, contact, and water-level springs, implying an abundance of wildlife.
After dinner, you will embark on a night drive in eastern Etosha with the hope of experiencing some nocturnal wildlife activities.
Today, you will have a full day game drive with a lunch stop in form of lunch packs somewhere in the park.
This allows one to explore the less visited northern part of the Etosha National Park.
Mammals include black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, African elephants, plains zebras, Southern giraffes, elands, gemsboks
African wild cats, spotted and brown hyenas, specials include damara dik-dik and black-faced impalas among other animals.
You will start an early morning game drive on the eastern part of Etosha, break for lunch, swimming pool or siesta around noon. You will then go back in the park for an afternoon game drive and continue searching for wildlife.
For enthusiastic birders, during the rainy season the eastern part of the park may yield, Blue Crane, Great Crested Grebe and Black-necked Grebe, various Storks, Greater and Lesser Flamingoes when they come for breeding around the salt pans, Caspian Plover, Greater Painted Snipe and other waders.
Some birds seen all year round include Red-capped, Fawn-coloured, Eastern Clapper and Stark’s Larks. Grey-backed and Chestnut-backed Sparrow-Larks are quite common as well.
Double-banded and Temminck’s Coursers, Rufous-eared Warbler, Kori Bustard, Chestnut Weaver, Violet and Green Wood-Hoopoes, Carp’s Tit, Barred Wren-Warbler are among other specials birds to Etosha.
This marks the end of your Classic Etosha Tour. You will drive back to Windhoek past a couple of cities as a way of waving goodbye to Namibia. Accommodation is as per your choice and preference today in Windhoek.
