This ultra luxury Rwanda safari spends three nights each at Magashi Camp, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest and One&Only Nyungwe House for the ultimate primate and wildlife journey.
Overview
This ultra luxury Rwanda safari is our most indulgent journey. Over eleven days you stay three nights each in three of the country’s finest lodges: Magashi Camp in Akagera, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest near Volcanoes National Park, and One&Only Nyungwe House on a tea estate beside the rainforest.
The pace is slow and the service seamless, with private guiding, VIP transfers and the option of helicopter flights between parks.
Why choose an ultra luxury Rwanda safari?
Three nights in each place changes everything. You never feel rushed, you have time to enjoy your suite and spa, and you can choose activities around your mood and the weather.
- Savannah: private game drives, bush walks and boat trips at Magashi.
- Volcanoes: gorillas, golden monkeys and village culture.
- Rainforest: chimps, colobus monkeys and the canopy walk.
What to expect on your ultra luxury Rwanda safari
After a VIP welcome and a night at a boutique hotel in Kigali, you travel to Magashi Camp in northern Akagera. Days two to four are spent on game drives, guided bush walks, boat cruises and catch-and-release fishing on Lake Rwanyakazinga.
On day five you move to One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. Day six is your gorilla trek, and day seven brings golden monkeys and the Gorilla Guardians Village.
Day eight takes you southwest to One&Only Nyungwe House, by road along Lake Kivu or by helicopter. Day nine is a dawn chimpanzee trek and the canopy walk, day ten a colobus monkey trek, and day eleven a tea estate walk before your flight home.
How fit do you need to be?
Activities at Magashi are gentle. Gorilla and chimp treks can take several hours on steep ground, but porters, walking sticks and a relaxed pace make them manageable for most travellers.
Best time for an ultra luxury Rwanda safari
June to September and December to February are the most popular months. These lodges have few rooms, so we recommend booking nine to twelve months ahead to secure your dates and permits.

How much does the ultra luxury Rwanda safari cost?
Price on request. The cost depends on your travel dates, group size, the season and the lodges you choose, so we prepare every quote personally rather than showing one fixed price.
