A photography safari with Divulge Adventures puts you in the right place, at the right time, with the right light. We plan private wildlife photography safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana and Namibia, from Laikipia’s black leopard and the Mara River crossings to mountain gorillas, the Okavango Delta and Namibia’s red dunes. You can also ask about adding a professional photographer to your trip, so you can enjoy the moment while every shot is captured.
Laikipia is one of the few places in the world where a black leopard has been photographed in the wild, and nearby Solio offers close rhino sightings. Our 5 Day Black Leopard and Rhino Photography Safari is built around both. For action shots, the 7-Day Luxury Mara River Crossing Safari puts you at the Great Migration.
Endless plains, huge herds, calving season and big-cat hunts in the Serengeti, plus the dramatic crater walls of Ngorongoro. See our Tanzania safaris.
Photographing a gorilla family at close range is unforgettable, though the forest light is low and changeable. A fast lens helps. See our gorilla trekking tours.
Low-angle shots from a mokoro, elephants crossing the Chobe River at sunset and predators in Moremi and Khwai. See our Botswana safaris.
The red dunes of Sossusvlei, the dead trees of Deadvlei, and wildlife at Etosha’s waterholes make Namibia a landscape photographer’s dream. See our Namibia safaris.
Not a photographer yourself? Ask us about adding a professional photographer to your safari. You get high-quality images of your trip, including photos of you and your group, while you stay fully present in the moment.
A camera body with a telephoto lens (around 100-400mm or longer) covers most wildlife, plus a wide-angle lens for landscapes. For gorilla trekking, a fast lens helps in low forest light. Bring spare batteries, memory cards and a bean bag for support in the vehicle.
The dry season, roughly June to October, offers clear sightings and the Mara River crossings. The green season brings dramatic skies, newborn animals and lush backgrounds, and January to February is calving season in the Serengeti.
Yes. Photography safaris suit couples and families where one person is a keen photographer. The pace is simply a little more patient at sightings.
