What to expect on your 5 days luxury Rwanda safari

You receive a VIP welcome at Kigali International Airport and spend day one relaxing at your hotel. On day two you visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, enjoy lunch at a top restaurant and travel to Volcanoes National Park by road or by optional helicopter.

Day three is your gorilla trek. Rangers assign your group of up to eight to a habituated family, and you spend one magical hour in their company before returning to the lodge.

On day four you trek golden monkeys in the bamboo forest. These playful, orange-backed monkeys live only in the Albertine Rift. You then return to Kigali for a final night, and day five is free until your flight.

How fit do you need to be?

Gorilla treks can take one to six hours. Golden monkey treks are usually shorter and gentler. Porters are available on both, and your guide will set a comfortable pace.

Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will receive a VIP welcome and fast-track assistance from the Divulge Adventures team. Day 02 :

Kigali Genocide Memorial - Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and enjoy lunch at one of Kigali's top restaurants. Then drive north to Volcanoes National Park, approximately 2.5 hours, or take an optional 30-minute helicopter flight at extra cost. Check in at your lodge, where your private suite looks out over the volcanoes.

Day 03 :

Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters for your briefing and gorilla family assignment.
